Congressman John Rose Issues Statement in Support of Bipartisan Hearing on FTX Collapse

Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman John Rose (R-TN) commended the decision of the Chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), and the Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC), for announcing a bipartisan hearing into the collapse of FTX and the broader consequences for the digital asset ecosystem.
 
Congressman John Rose released the following statement: 
“The overnight collapse of FTX will have a lasting impact on consumers and the digital asset industry as a whole. The American people deserve answers, and bad actors must be held accountable to the laws and regulations meant to safeguard consumers. I appreciate Ranking Member McHenry and Chairwoman Waters for swiftly scheduling a hearing on this pressing matter, and I look forward to hearing Sam Bankman-Fried’s testimony soon.” 
 
U.S. Representative John Rose is currently serving his second term representing Tennessee's Sixth Congressional District and resides in Cookeville with his wife, Chelsea, and their two sons, Guy and Sam. The Sixth District includes Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, White, and Wilson counties as well as portions of Cheatham and Van Buren counties. Representative Rose is an eighth-generation farmer, small business owner, and attorney, and currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee.
