WASHINGTON – Today, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) awarded U.S. Representative John Rose (TN-6) the NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award for the 116th Congress. The Guardian of Small Business Award is awarded to Members of Congress who have voting records that reflect strong support for small businesses and the free enterprise system.

"Small businesses are the heart of our economy and what they need right now is certainty for the future. My experiences as a small business owner have been instrumental in my support for pro-growth policies that will help job creators in Tennessee thrive," said Representative John Rose. "During these difficult times, it is more important than ever to support our small, family-owned businesses. I am honored to receive this award and will continue working to protect Main Street."

U.S. Representative John Rose represents Tennessee's Sixth Congressional District and resides in Cookeville with his wife, Chelsea, and their son, Guy. The Sixth District includes Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, White, and Wilson counties as well as portions of Cheatham and Van Buren counties.
