WASHINGTON, D.C. – "Funding our nation's military is the most fundamental responsibility of Congress," said U.S. Representative John Rose (TN-6) as he voted for passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2020.

For 58 straight years, Congress has executed its Constitutional duties and passed a National Defense Authorization Act, which authorizes critical funding and programs for our nation's military. President Trump has indicated he will sign this important legislation.

"What we have seen today is not surprising. For three years, House Democrats have planned to impeach President Trump," Rep. Rose said. "These Articles of Impeachment reflect a true disdain for President Trump and an irreverence for the impeachment process."

Cookeville, TN – U.S. Representative John Rose left Washington Wednesday and returned to Tennessee where his wife, Chelsea, had been hospitalized earlier that day due to complications related to her pregnancy of their expected son. Sadly, even with careful medical treatment, their baby did not survive and his chance at life ended on Friday, November 1 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) where he was delivered.

John and Chelsea shared the following statement after the passing of their son:
